The Letter Dataset table defines a list of possible data sources that may be used by one or more letter templates, along with the stored procedures that must be executed in order to populate the dataset and extract result sets from the dataset.
This functionality allows for the selection of the procedure already in place and written in SQL. Any changes to the SQL scripts need to be completed by a Bravura Solutions staff member.
The correspondence system does not understand anything about the nature of specific datasets, and hence the stored procedure names that must be executed to populate and subsequently retrieve from the datasets, must be stored on the dataset itself.
